Expo 2020 Opportunity Pavilions
This theme’s main goal is to make you think about the solutions to problems we, as inhabitants of this planet, face. The countries will be focusing on methods to shape a better world for future generations.
United Arab Emirates
The UAE Pavilion’s design has come into its form from the mind of a worldly renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The structure is designed in the form of a majestic falcon, the UAE’s national bird, that features wings moving up and down as if the falcon is in flight. By the motion of these wings, sustainable energy is produced.
This pavilion is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the UAE. The visitors that come to the building will witness UAE’s endeavours through history, Emirati heritage, and a glimpse of the future of the UAE. Also, the pavilion will look over the amazing Al Wasl Plaza.
United Kingdom (UK)
The UK Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai is a state-of-the-art structure designed by the British artist and designer, Es Devlin. Inspired by the project called “Breakthrough Message” by the late scientist Stephen Hawking, this will take you to the world that is beyond our planet.
This pavilion is also known as the ‘poem pavilion’. By the use of futuristic artificial intelligence, different messages will be conveyed to space. Interestingly, the visitors will be able to contribute to these messages. Now, this sounds like a once-in-the-lifetime opportunity!
The building is shaped like a conch shell; it will serve as a way to highlight the greatness and dominance of the UK’s space sector and artificial intelligence. The structure of the shell will be covered with glowing LEDs, like a LED façade.

Expo 2020 Sustainability Pavilions
The second theme of Expo 2020 is Sustainability. This pavilion will take you through Terra to explore ways toward a more sustainable future. This will serve as the first glimpse of Expo 2020 before its official launch in October 2021. The Sustainability Pavilion includes the countries undertaking measures to preserve the environment using technology.
Brazil
The Brazil Expo 2020 pavilion is designed with the collaboration of three worldly famous architecture firms: Ben-Avid, MMBB Arquitetos, and JPG.ARQ. The structure of the Brazil pavilion is unique as it is made up of lightweight white fabric. This fabric can be doubled to be used as a huge projection screen turning the whole pavilion into a massive amphitheatre.
An impressive attraction in this pavilion is the shallow water pool surrounding it. This pool will be used as a means of transport for the visitors. The visitors will witness the nature, landscapes, and greenery of Brazil.
Spain
One of the most immersive pavilions in Expo 2020 is the Spain pavilion. This pavilion will pay tribute to the “Golden Age” of 711-1492 when the Hispanic-Arab region was ethnically diverse and religiously tolerant.
Came into its form from the brilliant mind of the famous architect Amann Canovas Maruri, the Spanish pavilion is shaped like cones which are structured and constructed in a way to ease thermal insulation. Apart from that, the conical shape of the pavilion increases the airflow. Another attraction is the vast basement area featuring an exhibition. This basement will allow visitors to connect to other entertainment spaces.

France
France is on the list of Expo 2020 pavilions themed around Mobility for good reasons. This pavilion is designed by Atelier Perez Prado and CELNIKIER & GRABLI Architectes. An interesting element in this pavilion is the French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, who is currently on Alpha Mission, and will greet the visitors from space.
The French Pavilion will feature amazing light shows, where the visitors will be able to experience the French culture and witness the diverse art of the country.
Australia

Australian Pavilion is shaped like a cumulus cloud. It is designed by the bureau^proberts and this one-of-a-kind structure is actually an ode to the ethnic diversity Australia has.
