Now in Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain, those adventurous souls can whiz at velocities of about 100 miles per hour. On that mountain located in Ras Al Khaimah, you can find the longest zip line in the world. This splendid adventure at Jebel Jais Mountain allows thrill-seekers to fly face-down, in a superhero position, at speeds of about 150 kilometres per hour (93 mph). What to expect

The Jebel Jais Zipline experience begins when you climb Jebel Jais Mountain, but the real adventure begins when you step onto the launch pad built on one of the high-altitude points in the water. Standing at an exhilarating height of 1,680 metres, this giant and transparent falcon-shaped platform features two parallel cable ties, allowing you to enjoy the activity with your equally adventurous companion.

There will be a quick chat about safety precautions with the team of certified zipline experts always by your side. When you’re ready and trying to get in line, you’ll jump out into the open air and fly like a superhero. Ride the rugged cableways at an astonishing speed of about 130 kilometres per hour and enjoy the most captivating aerial views as you soar above the majesty of the Jebel Jais and Al Hatta mountains for more than three minutes. One of the most breathtaking moments is when you land on another pedestal hovering 1280 metres high. It literally hangs in the air and excites you with a second adventure as you’re transported over a kilometre stretch while attached to a pulley, thus completing this unique adventure.

The Best Time to Visit

Though it is an outdoor activity, you can still enjoy it during the summer season. Jabel Jais is about 10 degrees cooler than the other parts of the country. Therefore, you can take a trip there during the hot days and enjoy some cooler weather. As for the working hours of the zipline, the zipline is open Wednesday to Sunday, and on all public holidays from 9:30 am – 5 pm.

How to Reach the Destination

To reach Jebel Jais, you need to drive 30 km to the top of this mountain in Ras Al and the road is easily accessible by any car. Once you get your booking confirmations, drive to the Zipline Parking as it is shown there. If you do not have a car, you can still get there by using one of the following means of transportation:

Shuttle bus

If you’re a visitor, getting to Ras Al Khaimah from Dubai is easy as a new shuttle bus can drive you there from Dubai. This bus is free until September but will cost you Dh20 after that time. The ride by bus will take you about 45 minutes. Tickets can be bought on the bus or booked in advance online.

Terminal

The service will operate from Ras Al Khaimah City Centre and the Al Hamra/Al Marjan Island area and will take visitors to Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park. The launch of the shuttle service will also assist tour operators from key international source markets in bringing holidaymakers to the destination to experience the Emirate’s adventure tourism offer.

Once you arrive, you will need to check the details of your reservation at the information centre. Actually, you must arrive at the centre 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Tickets and Pricing

All tickets for the Jebel Jais Zipline must be reserved in advance. The cost of the tickets is more on weekends than weekdays and it might also vary per season. You may also purchase combo tickets that include both the Sky Tour and ziplining. Depending on the time of year, the cost of the tickets might range from AED 252 to AED 499.

Is it Really Safe?

All activities offered at Jebel Jais are built and managed by a team of professionals. Safety is always a priority at Jebel Jais Zipline, where daily checks and maintenance are carried out on zip lines and other facilities. The teams in charge of these procedures keep a safety record, and the regular maintenance of structures, equipment, and parks is also recorded. The facility also has civil liability insurance in the event of an accident. To date, the park has had no accidents.   • Participants under the age of 18 who meet the height and weight standards may fly independently, but they must be accompanied and show a parent’s or legal guardian’s signed waiver in order to do so.
  • In good medical condition.
  • You ought to dress in your usual athletic/sporty attire (dresses or skirts are not allowed).
  • You must put on reliable running shoes, closed-toe shoes, or sturdy trainers (flip flops, reefs, sandals, high heels, or loose footwear not allowed).
  • Not intoxicated with drugs, alcohol, or any other substances that could cloud your judgement.
