Dubai Museum

The Dubai Museum is located inside the Dubai Fort and was opened by the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in 1971 to introduce visitors to the traditional life of Dubai before the discovery of oil. The museum houses local antiques, handicrafts from Asian and African countries associated with Dubai's past trade, along with recently discovered artifacts dating back 3,000 years BC.

This place is one of the most famous archaeological museums in Dubai as it speaks about different eras in the emirate's history, including its time as a port and transit point between continents, and Dubai's local economy, which relied on fishing and pearl diving.
