UAE continues to improve, evolve and surprise us with wonders. It is introducing us to new splendid mega projects that are a real delight to the eye. Some of these mega projects are in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and some others are in the Northern Emirates as well. In this article, we will have a quick overview of some of the important mega projects.
Some Mega-Projects in Abu Dhabi
Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi
As the name suggests, The Natural History Museum is one of the mega projects in the UAE that will take you on a 13.8 million-year journey through time and space. You can witness stories of the beginnings of the universe and glimpses at its future.
Louvre Residences Abu Dhabi
Inspired by Louvre Abu Dhabi, this building will have art and sculptures inside that are similar to those exhibited in the museum. It will have 400 apartments! Sounds like an interesting place to live for art lovers!
Reem Hills
Reem Island will soon have a new community, which features a man-made hill with enhanced greenery. In addition to the hill, the villa project will provide beach access, parkland, schools, mosques, and retail outlets.

Museum of the Future
This magnificent museum named Museum of the Future is located on Sheik Zayed Road. It is made up of 1024 pieces that were all manufactured by automated robotic arms and completed over 18 months.
Royal Atlantis Resort
Instead of having one Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai will have two. The new Royal Atlantis right-wing in Dubai will house 231 residences, while the left will be made up of 795 guest suites. These two will be joined by an infinity swimming pool.
Expo 2020 Dubai site – District 2020.
Dubai’s expo site will be transformed into District 2020. This district is a cycle-friendly, traffic-free suburb that you can go around in 15 minutes.
Some Mega Projects in the Northern Emirates
Kalba regeneration
Sharjah’s east coast exclave will witness the restoration of one of the most historic houses in the UAE. Moreover, a clock tower roundabout will be built, and revamped cornice will be opened.
The most eye-catchy project in this matter will probably be the Kalba Heritage Museum, a sail-shaped museum built on the seashore.
Falcon Island
The Ras Al Khaimah-based developer has 150 villa units, a shopping mall, a yacht club and hotels.
Sharjah forest community
This Sharjah mega project features a vast forested community and hosts some leisure attractions.
