It was the first commercial port in Dubai, opened in 1972 and named after Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the visionary ruler of Dubai. Mina Rashid is now undergoing a transformation into a world-class maritime destination, with waterfront residences, hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets. Mina Rashid is also home to the iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 ship, which has been converted into a floating hotel and museum.
