Lulu Island is a man-made island in Abu Dhabi, located off the coast of the main Abu Dhabi island. It covers an area of 1050 acres and stretches from the Abu Dhabi Breakwater to the Mina Zayed. The island was created in 1992 and was intended to be a leisure and cultural destination, with plans for hotels, parks, museums, and a zoo. However, most of these projects were put on hold or cancelled due to various reasons. The island was opened to the public in 2007, but it was closed again in 2011. Currently, the island is only accessible by private boat and has no facilities or attractions. The island offers a natural and scenic view of the Arabian Gulf and the Abu Dhabi skyline.
